Union to set stricter boundaries around permitted uses for NDAs

Actors’ Equity Association, the national labor union representing more than 51,000 professional actors and stage managers in live theatre, has issued the following statement in response to news of a leak of photos and videos of a Second Stage Theater production featuring Equity members performing naked.

There is no place for sexual harassment in the workplace – not in our theaters, and not in our government. As we work for safer workplaces for our own members where they can be free of harassment, discrimination and bullying, we demand no less from those serving in our government.

Actors’ Equity Association, the national labor union representing more than 51,000 professional actors and stage managers in live theatre, has released a statement from Executive Director Mary McColl in response to the announcement that in the midst of the Scott Rudin controversy, the Producers Guild of America has created a new task force dedicated to combating workplace harassment.

SAG-AFTRA President Gabrielle Carteris, Actors’ Equity Association President Kate Shindle and American Federation of Musicians Local 802 President and Executive Director Adam Krauthamer released the following joint statement.
