Stage actors will be getting raises and producers will be allowed to make their shows available for online streaming, according to a new performance agreement approved by Actors’ Equity Association and the Off-Broadway League.

Earlier this month, Actors’ Equity Association and the Off-Broadway league announced that they have entered into a three-year collective bargaining agreement.

Actors’ Equity and the Broadway League have negotiated additional terms for the industry’s reopening, including an allowance for prorated weekly pay.

Actors’ Equity and the Off-Broadway League have reached an agreement for a new three-year contract that includes significant pay raises; Covid protocols; new provisions that strengthen diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives; and additional protections that address issues of harassment, bullying and discrimination.

The agreement begins retroactively on August 1, 2021 and expires on July 28, 2024.

Actors’ Equity has joined several other unions in calling for the resignation of New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

The new agreement between Actors’ Equity and the Broadway League covers both workers and audiences for Broadway shows as well as sit-down productions across the U.S.
