National Agreement

The Single Engagement Agreement was established to encourage increased employment opportunities for use by small community theatres Colleges and Universities, groups operating within an educational or community framework and not-for-profit educational theatres outside of New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles and San Francisco, that wish to hire individual professional artists and/or stage managers.

This agreement contains two categories each divided into 2-3 tiers, each based on the seating capacity, box office gross and number of weekly performances. Modified versions are also available for Pittsburgh, Buffalo/Rochester, Orlando and Artists for Dinner Theaters.

The current agreement expires on March 21, 2027.
