"The ceremony was so sweet and emotional. It meant so much to me to have my company be so supportive. I still can't quite believe I received the Legacy Robe. To me, it's a symbol of a true career as a Broadway performer – truly such an honor, and so humbling to be included on a list of so many legends and friends, including Cameron Adams, who received the Robe at my Broadway debut. I remember her saying it never gets old, being on a Broadway stage – and it really doesn't. It's like being struck by lightning every time.
"It also represents being a veteran in this business and the responsibility that comes with that. I learned from all the vets I worked with what it meant to show up eight times a week, how to be a professional, and how to hold yourself to a certain standard. To feel like I’ve arrived at a place where I can be that person for younger performers is a really great feeling, and it’s important to me to pass on whatever knowledge I have."
