The Goodman Theatre is where I earned my Equity card. William Woodman was the artistic director and was directing a production of The Sea by Edward Bond. I was cast as a young girl in this East Anglian village in Great Britain. It was 1974. During rehearsal, I was given a larger role than the one I started out with because I could faint and be funny about it. At least, I think that's why I was "promoted." The cast, which was stellar and so impressive to me, included Brenda Forbes, Martyn Green, Lenny Baker, Bruce Kornbluth, Dennis Kennedy and Rebecca Balding.
