I got my Equity card in a “Six-Degrees-of-Kevin-Bacon” way. Kevin appeared in Joe Orton’s Loot at Manhattan Theatre Club and was unable to go to Broadway. So I auditioned for John Tillinger to work with Joe Maher, Željko Ivanek, Charlie Keating and Zoë Wanamaker. I got the job, my first Broadway show and my card.
