The Actors' Equity/Alan Eisenberg Award

 
The Actors' Equity/Alan Eisenberg Award was established in 2007 in recognition of Mr. Eisenberg's twenty-five years of dedicated service to Actors' Equity as the union's Executive Director. The $5,000 award goes to a graduating senior from the University of Michigan's Musical Theatre Department to recognize outstanding talent and career potential. The winner is selected by the Chair of the Department.

    2009 – Cary Tedder

    Cary Tedder, University of Michigan Class of 2009, is the third recipient of the Actors' Equity/Alan Eisenberg Scholarship Award. Created by former Actors' Equity Executive Director Alan Eisenberg, who is a University of Michigan alumnus, the award ($5,000) goes to a graduating senior in the University's Musical Theatre program.

    2008 – Garen McRoberts

    Garen McRoberts, University of Michigan Class of 2008, is the second recipient of the Actors' Equity/Alan Eisenberg Award. Created by former Equity Executive Director Alan Eisenberg, who is a University Michigan alumnus, the award ($5,000) goes to a graduating senior in the University's Musical Theatre program. The presentation was made to Mr. McRoberts at the Westside Arts Theatre on May 8 during the program's NYC showcase.

    2007 – Janine DiVita

    Janine DiVita, who graduates this year from the University of Michigan, is the first recipient of the Actors' Equity Association/Alan Eisenberg Award, which will be given annually to a student in the Musical Theater Program at the school. She was awarded the grant, in the amount of $5,000, at the University of Michigan Alumni Dinner on May 10th.
