I was a grade school music teacher in New Jersey playing the title role in LITTLE MARY SUNSHINE in a community theatre when a producer of an Equity summer stock company came back stage and said, “You should audition for our chorus next season.”

I did and I got the gig, did eight shows in nine weeks AND Meg in BRIGADOON when somebody got a Broadway show! I got my card after all of it and two years later gave up my teaching tenure.
